Dear Competitors
Another year and another High Peak 40 – the 30th!!.
I thought that we might have seen a course record broken this year but it was not to be
Perhaps we should liven things up for next year so what about Ladies and Men’s Team Competitions? The current records were set last century – the men’s record (17.06.09) was set in 1989 and the Ladies (22.49.92) in 1992. It could be interesting!
Your check point times are available here on the website but certificates will not immediately be available. At this stage all I am going to say is that the certificates will be with you this year.
The 2017 High Peak 40 will be on Saturday 16th September and I hope to see many of you then. Entries will be open in the New Year.
I have always written about the volunteers – some of them were new this year and have said they will be back next year. Don’t forget the others who you don’t see because they are the ones putting up signs on Friday afternoon and evening. Please have a quiet three cheers for them and of course for all the others.
Finally thanks to all of you for taking partand I hope to see you all next year. Don’t forget the date – Saturday 16th September 2017.
